STYLE GURU BIO: Madeline Donofrio

Fashion was my first love. From putting together outfits for every doll I’ve owned, to being a stylist at Free People and being able to play dress up in real life, I’ve never steered away from using fashion to express others or myself. My name is Madeline, and I am a senior at Towson University. I was raised in a small beach town and now reside in the charming city of Baltimore, where I’ve found the truest way to express personality through fashion and style.

As a constant changing eye for certain styles, I have yet been able to put a pinpoint on my true style. I jump from being girly to a more tomboy look every day depending on my mood. Despite my mood, personality, or lifestyle, no matter what look I choose, I find myself always having a bohemian, beachy, and effortless aesthetic.

To give you a taste of my look, I threw on my favorite Free People distressed jeans, which have been a staple of mine in every color. For a comfy feel, I chose an oversized fringe poncho, which I layered over an ivory victorian lace top. I tossed a black boot with a chunky heel; I currently love showing off my ankles (even in this weather). I can’t leave the house without a statement necklace, my sundial watch, and my faux leather backpack. I chose a delicate turquoise stone for a bit of a color pop against the neutrals. In the winter, I won’t go anywhere without my Free People scarf or beanie to stay as warm as possible but to also complete my look. There are so many different ways to make an outfit meet your personality perfectly, I think this style truly captures my favorite way to to make an impression without having to say a word.

Stay tuned for my monthly articles here on CollegeFashionista! I am over the moon excited to give you a taste of the street style looks of students here at Towson University.
