STYLE GURU BIO: Maddie Ledet

Hello, Maddie Ledet here! I’m a fashion merchandising major at Oklahoma State University, and I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of CollegeFashionista this semester. I’m a firm believer in strong coffee, a strong personality, and a whole lot of clothes!

I have always loved anything related to fashion. Stick me in a closet full of clothes and I’m good to go. No matter what my day consists of, I always find myself either online shopping or planning my list of errands around what clothing stores I want to visit first. I’m a person of new things and I get bored easily when I find myself falling into a set schedule (yes it’s true, I prefer the chaos), which is why I love the constant change in styles and trends. I also like to believe that people express themselves most through what they love. For me, when I’m not feeling a day’s worth of social interaction, I let my outfit do the talking instead.

On top of my passion for fashion, I love exploring new things. Whether it is a new city, or a new coffee shop, I’m always down for the experience. For this warm winter look I decided to layer up a bit, but without all the bulk. I’m on a big sweater kick right now and I’m a sucker for hoods, so you can only imagine my excitement when I came across this gray cardigan. I paired it with a black leather jacket (which by the way was a steal thanks to Nordstrom’s half-yearly sale), and black booties with a zipper feature to add to the grungy look. I also threw on a pair of high-waisted skinny jeans; my go-to pair that I probably wear way too often, and for the final touch I added this necklace from Free People! Simple, yet still adds to the overall outfit.

Once again, I’m so happy to be able to share my style and love for fashion with you all this semester! Always remember to be you, do you, for you.

Life is short, so bat those lashes!
