STYLE GURU BIO: Macey Ronquillo

Hi! My name is Mace and I am a sophomore at Central Michigan University where I am a fashion merchandising major and minoring in event management! I love how creative fashion lets us be and how it gives us the ability to be whoever we want to be in just the change of an outfit. I find my inspiration for fashion from the other girls in my fashion classes as well as the girls in my sorority. Every person has different experiences in life and you don’t always need celebrities and fashion magazines to give you all of your inspiration, sometimes the people we spend every day with can inspire us way more than we know! I am so excited to begin my journey with CollegeFashionista this semester as a Style Guru, I cannot wait to see where it takes me!

My style is based on how I’m feeling when I wake up so it changes with every day that goes by. Some days I’m very preppy and other days very edgy. However, during the winter I want to stay warm, stylish, and comfortable while crossing campus. As a Style Guru I am going to show you ways you can make the winter cozy while still remaining stylish.

Going to school where snow gets deep and temperatures drop makes dressing in the winter hard. My favorite way to beat the snowy blues is by investing in cute sweaters and boots that’ll make a walk to class in a snow storm a little more bearable. This cozy outfit all starts with leggings; everyone has a pair (or 20) in their closet. These boots from SOREL ensure you have warm toes as well as making a statement! This pair of boots aren’t as clunky as some other winter boot options and the laces that go all the way up the boot make them really stylish. The sweater I am wearing is from Urban Outfitters. For me, details are everything; the elbow patches and knitting really bring this sweater to life. This jacket is my favorite piece I have in my closet right now! I adore this jacket because it is the winter version of the bomber jacket! The high collar makes sure your neck stays warm even without a scarf on. The sun can get brutally bright in the winter especially when there are mounds of snow outside, my favorite accessory to pair with winter outfits is my trusty aviator Ray-Bans!

I am so excited to share my favorite Fashionista/os with you every month!
