STYLE GURU BIO: Lucy Lopez

September 1st, 2016 at 2:00am

Hello again! My name is Lucy Lopez and I am a fourth year at the University of California-San Diego studying communications and minoring in business. I am so excited and honored to be a returning Style Guru from this past summer. I loved taking pictures of my friends and writing posts about summer outfits, and I cannot wait to continue doing so with stylish UCSD students. Unlike Los Angeles, San Diego has a laid-back atmosphere with more casual and hippie outfits greatly influenced by the beach. San Diego fashion is something I look forward to writing about in the upcoming weeks.

While the weather in Los Angeles is still in the high 90s, I decided to wear this outfit that is a great transition to pre-fall. I loved watching New York’s fall 2016 runway shows and fell head over heels for the metallic and pleats trend. I am wearing this Zara (my guilty pleasure) top. It is the perfect combination of two of fall’s upcoming biggest trends. If there is one store that can design such a top, it is Zara! I paired it with my black Joni jeans and my favorite black boots. I absolutely love wearing these booties because they elongate my legs and make my jeans look more flattering.

Being back in Los Angeles after studying abroad in London and finishing the school year in San Diego has definitely influenced my personal style. Every place that I visit really influences my personal style. Although I love the trendiness of Los Angeles, I also love the more edgier London style and the bohemian San Diego vibes. I now look for inspiration in all kinds of fashionable women, from the queen of Los Angeles Kendall Jenner to London babe Eleanor Calder.

I am so excited to take on my final year at UCSD and thrilled to be a college Fashionista. I cannot wait to make this year the most memorable one yet.
