STYLE GURU BIO: Lucie Wall

Hi there! My name is Lucie and I am a double major in French and international studies at the College of Charleston and plan to pursue journalism. What do those have to do with fashion? Truly, everything has to do with fashion. From looking presentable in a professional environment, to going to class or hanging out with friends, style is a way to express your personality.

This is my first semester writing for CollegeFashionista and I am so excited! I only really began being interested in fashion four years ago when I began working for a small boutique in Charleston. Before that…well just don’t go too far back in my Facebook photos. My personal style is always evolving. It is now heavily influenced by French simplicity, a touch of urban flair and a dash of boho.

In this winter look, I chose to wear a turtleneck cropped sweater and a black (faux) leather jacket to combat the cold. I paired them with a jean button up skirt, thin black leggings and black heeled boots. I am always wearing my stone elastic bracelets on each wrist from my travels, and silver rings to match.

I have always wanted a black leather jacket but thought I was not cool enough to wear one, when I decided I didn’t care anymore and bought one this semester in France while studying abroad. I love it.

My personal advice about fashion is let trends inspire you but stay true to your (rad) self. College is about discovering what kind of person you are and who you want to be, so try to let your personal style show that!
