Hello beauties and cuties! My name is Lena Williams and this is my first time as a Style Guru for college fashionista. I will be entering my sophomore year of college at Misericordia University and I am majoring in Business Administration and minoring in Communications. With my degree, I plan on pursuing a career in public relations.
I would say that I have always showed an interest in fashion ever since I was a little girl. My mom told me that I always wanted to dress myself and pick out my clothes. Unfortunately, it took me a while to find my own unique style and be confident with the way that I like to dress. When I got into high school, I was constantly looking at Seventeen magazine and wishing I could dress like the models. Eventually, I found out about Tumblr and my whole perspective on fashion and life changed. I realized that fashion is not all about wearing the new trends, but what makes you feel confident and comfortable.
I would have to say that I don’t have a specific way that I dress. According on how I feel or where I am going, determines what I want to put on. I could be wearing a cute preppy skirt with heels, or rock a pair of printed, loose-fitting pants with my Converse. When people ask me who influences my style, I find myself not able to answer that question. As a faithful Tumblr user, I have grown to love street style. I find random peoples style to be more influential because these days most celebrities don’t dress themselves. However, I will admit that I am head over heels for Solange Knowles.
