STYLE GURU BIO: Leah Arsenault

After a summer spent soaking up the suns warm rays, watching a crowded pool full of patrons and wearing the same red bathing suit every day, I cannot tell you how excited I am to start observing RAD street styles again. I had a blast being Head Style Guru for Sacred Heart University last year, and it feels great to be back for a second season.

Now that I am officially a senior, I have decided to devote my last year to doing things I love, and blogging about all the latest fashion trends was a must. Along with my ever-present love of styling looks, I enjoy DIY crafting and creating all sorts of fun, simplistic projects to use in my everyday life, like a jewelry picture frame for all my favorite accessories. Another hobby of mine includes running. It is not unusual to spot me doing so all over town in Attleboro, Massachusetts. But when I am not running in the streets I know and love back home, I am taking great strides all over campus to bring Sacred Heart’s fashion program to life. Whether planning, promoting and leading events as Fashion Club president or working with my professors to take my projects out of the classroom and into the real world, the thrill never fails to excite me.

My own personal style is a mix of feminine, minimal and chic. I love mixing and matching colors, accessories and trends. As a 21-year-old college student, I still find my wardrobe gradually developing as I fill my closet with pieces that can fit all occasions. From daytime-casual to business-savvy and out-on-the-town-ready, my clothes take on many different forms. I think it is important to find pieces that fit the way you want to live your life. Your style is so self-expressive and I find it most inspiring to learn about someone through the way they dress. I hope to learn all different Fashionstas/os’ stories around campus this semester and I cannot wait to share them with you each month!
