My name is Lauren Snyder and I’m so excited to return as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista this summer. I am a rising junior majoring in Marketing and Management Information Systems at Temple University with the ultimate goal of working on the business side of the fashion industry. This summer I will be working as a Marketing Intern for Burlington Coat Factory and sharing with you amazing style from Philadelphia Fashionistas/os in Friday’s ACCESSORIES REPORT.
A self-professed “shoe addict,” I have to say that the best part of any killer outfit really lies in the details. I believe that’s where personal style and individuality truly radiates. Accessories are the finishing touches that you choose to give a look your own unique flair. In addition to my extensive collection of shoes, I swear by colorful handbags, huge statement jewels and an array of patterned scarves to make any look my own. I’m also a firm believer that a bright lip is just as much of an accessory as anything else, so I am loving this summer’s bold fuchsia trend for an extra pop of color.
After a semester writing for the WHAT TO WEAR column, CollegeFashionista has further opened my eyes to the amazingly diverse styles that Temple Fashionistas/os rock on campus. At an urban school with over 25,000 undergrads, it’s evident that Temple does not have any one specific style. I can’t wait to report on the unique and creative ways my stylish peers accessorize their looks for a summer in the City of Brotherly Love. So focus in Fashionistas/os, because this summer, it’s all about the details.
