STYLE GURU BIO: Lauren Herwig

Hello fellow Style Gurus and everyone else, welcome back to another RAD semester here with CollegeFashionista. I couldn’t be happier to be back as not only a Style Guru but also a social media intern! For those of you who didn’t read my bio from over the summer let me tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Lauren Herwig. I am a communications major at Bucks County Community College. This is my last semester at BCCC and fingers crossed my transition into Temple University this spring will go smoothly. At Temple, I am torn between sticking with my current communications major or pursuing photography. If anyone has any words of wisdom please get in touch with me!

I am very into fashion and like to take risks. As if bangs weren’t a big enough change for pre-fall, I find myself wearing a lot of pink and feminine pieces. Which is cool because I feel like after this past summer semester with CollegeFashionista I was very encouraged to take the advice of other Style Gurus after reading their articles. I love that CollegeFashionista is a community of girls and guys who passionately adore fashion and keeping up with trends.

My look is very Pretty in Pink-inspired. I hardly ever wear pink so this was a major risk for me but I thought ‘Hey, it’s a new semester let’s push the boundaries of personal style.” A similar version of the pink top I am wearing can be found at Zara. The faux fur jacket can be found at Nordstrom. The boyfriend jeans are vintage and distressed via DIY tricks. You can find the lace-up flats from H&M.

This look is fun and versatile meaning you can wear everything on its own and in separate outfits. Moving into fall I think we are going to see a lot of textured fabrics, which will be exciting to mix and match! Let’s have another RAD semester!
