Hey! I’m Lauren Faulds, Style Guru for Concordia University Wisconsin. I am 20 years old and a sophomore. I am studying social work and hope to work in the adoption field. Since I was young I had talked about being a fashion designer and/or modeling. As I thought about it more I decided I wanted to work more directly with people. Anything having to do with style and fashion is still a hobby of mine even though I am not pursuing a career in it. I also enjoy writing and photography, so creating these articles is perfect for me. Besides school and my hobbies I work as a busser and cook at The Pasta Shoppe in Port Washington, WI. I am able to work during the school year since I commute to school from Port Washington.
I am excited to share my posts with family/friends and other Style Gurus. Anyone who is close to me knows that I love to pick out outfits (and take plenty of time to do it!). Fashion is a passion of mine and I love sharing my ideas with others. I enjoy when my friends ask me to help them shop for clothes and ask me what to wear. I find any excuse to dress up and look nice. It is important to me not to dress to impress others but to feel confident in what I am wearing.
