My name is Laura Moss and I’m a sophomore at University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. I am majoring in Biology with Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Chemistry. This will be the first time I have been given the opportunity to write for CollegeFashionista and I cannot express how grateful I am. To be completely honest, I would refer to myself as a late bloomer to the fashion world. During my middle school years I was concentrated more on scoring goals in soccer than who would be the new and upcoming designer in Fashion Week. Although I still enjoy the soccer field, my interest in fashion has grown throughout the years.
I look to many different things for inspiration for my fashion: magazines, the street, my friends and family and, of course, Pinterest. A big influence in my fashion style comes from my mom and grandma. I love hearing about what trends occurred with they were young and try to incorporate some of those same ideas into my style today. I would classify my style as vintage elegant along with city chic.
My favorite fashion motto is, “if you aren’t comfortable in it, don’t wear it.” For me, fashion has always been finding something that is comfortable and workable, yet fashion forward at the same time. If I am not comfortable in something, it shows.
Now that you have learned a little about me be sure to look for my posts this upcoming semester. I will be writing on STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK, so catch my posts on Mondays!
