STYLE GURU BIO: Kirby Beaton

Hey, babes! I’m Kirby, a brand new style guru raised in Los Angeles and studying in Santa Barbara—a true SoCal girl at heart. I’m currently in my last semester at UCSB and will be graduating in June, a fact that both excites and terrifies me. Despite the post-grad jitters, I’m optimistic that something amazing will come along, hopefully involving fashion!

Ever since I was a little girl, I have loved experimenting with style, whether it was my favorite pair of glittery red boots when I was six or the vibrant blue hair I recently began rocking. I love changing my style with my mood, sometimes I go full-on grunge and some days I love a dress with heels. The beauty of styling is that nothing is off limits. I think fashion should be fun and experimental, never stagnant.

I’m almost always stepping out in a pair of my trusty booties, like these ones from Sole Society. I’m usually decked out in a pop of color, whether it’s a bold red lip or bright sweater, but going monochromatic beige in this Forever 21 shift dress is an interesting change of pace. I’ve recently grown fond of chunky jewelry, such as this gold statement necklace or stacking multiple rings on my fingers.

When I’m not in class, you can find me spending way too much money on food, working on my personal blog (The Love Pug), binging on a new Netflix show, or reading nerdy fantasy novels on my Kindle. I carry my huge DSLR everywhere just in case I find something interesting to photograph. And, yes, I am that girl who makes everyone wait to eat so she can snap an Instagram-worthy photo of the food.

I’m so stoked to share my sense of style with all you fellow RAD gals and guys!
