STYLE GURU BIO: Kira Dausch

Hey, what’s up? I’m Kira and I have an excessive amount of clothing, so much to the point that I could probably wear a new outfit every day and never repeat. But that’s the best part of being a shopaholic right?

All jokes aside, I am super excited to be given this unique opportunity such as working with CollegeFashionista as I enter my spring semester of my sophomore year. So let’s get to know me a bit shall we? I am currently attending Lasell College, in the quaint city of Newton, MA. My campus is absolutely beautiful, (let me brag a little here), it is surrounded by stunning architecture of historic homes and is about a 40 minute train ride into the incredible and wonderful city of Boston.  I am studying Fashion Communications and Promotion, and minoring in Performing Arts. I was recently given the opportunity to be one of the music managers for my college A cappella group, The Spartones, which is super exciting because it is one of my biggest passions (besides fashion of course).

My style could definitely be described as…well, all over the place. Fashion is personalized. Everyone has their own favorites and hate its and that is what makes the fashion industry so special. Some days I will literally dress to the nines and other days not so much. I constantly find my style changing as I continue to be inspired by others. A trend that I am currently obsessing over is necklaces and chokers. The one pictured is one of my favorites because has a cute little stone on it that adds an “organic touch”. Going along with the trend of “organic”, the colors in this incredible backless bodysuit definitely speak to the neutral tones of nature during this time of year.  In order to complete the outfit I decided to throw on a pair of my favorite distressed boyfriend jeans. Denim has always been a staple in my closet and recently I have found myself buying so many different styles.

Another thing about me is that I seriously have an obsession with binge watching Netflix, I mean what’s better than curling up with a fuzzy blanket and putting off all your priorities? Nothing. My favorite show right now would totally have to be New Girl because it never fails to make me laugh. Is anyone else obsessed with Zoey Deschanel’s wardrobe? It is totally amazing and unique!

I love and live for fashion because it allows each individual to create art that will automatically make you feel like a star. There is nothing better than putting on a killer outfit and feeling like you can conquer anything. So let’s continue to conquer the world together, Fashionistas.
