Hey guys! My name is Kimberly Eichie, but you can call me Kim for short. I was born and raised in the North side of Chicago and currently attend Illinois State University. I am a junior majoring in Public Relations with a minor in Business Administration. This is my first semester part of the CollegeFashionista team and I am so excited to be going through this journey with you all.
Growing up in the city, I have always been surrounded by such diverse fashion. Chicago is a unique place and the style really portrays that. Walking through the streets of downtown, you really get inspired by all of the one of a kind style choices. One thing I love about fashion is that it is an expression of your creativity. What you put on represents your individuality! I love to explore different styles. There are so many colors, patters and textures you can mix and match.
My absolute favorite part of an outfit has to be the accessories. There is no better feeling than finding the perfect pair of shoes or matching your outfit with really cute earrings. I love accessorizing a plain outfit with bold statement pieces, like pairing a simple black jumpsuit with bright colored heels and a necklace to match. It can turn a simple outfit into a fierce one. Accessorizing is like putting the finishing touches on a delicious three-tier cake. It is what ties an outfit altogether.
I have been passionate about fashion ever since I can remember. From hoarding fashion magazines when I was younger to acquiring an obsession spending hours adding pictures to my style board on Pinterest, I can’t wait to share all my style tips and outfit ideas with you guys every Monday.
