STYLE GURU BIO: Keturah Gordon

Hi everyone! My name is Keturah Gordon, but everybody calls me Kay. I am a proud student at Alfred University, entering my junior year. I play soccer for my school’s varsity women’s team and I am also a third year athletic training student.

Being from Boston, I have always lived a fast-pace life; I’m your everyday city girl, but going to school out here in rural New York has opened my eyes to so many different things that I never knew about myself.

I have traveled to some amazing places so far, my most recent trip being Athens, Greece. It was a blast. I am beyond adventurous when it comes to seeing new things, meeting new people and trying everything that life has to offer.

Growing up I always considered myself “one of the boys,” but over the last few years I have taken up a big interest in makeup and fashion. I know, a girl that plays sports and wants to work with smelly athletes having an interest in how to contour faces and dress for the right occasion is an odd combination, but that’s just me. I like to think that I have the best of both worlds with each side of me coming together and making me one unique individual.

I like to think that I don’t have a specific look, but some of my friends might argue that. I have days where I feel exceptional and want to dress accordingly (even throwing on some colorful lipstick), and I have some days where I want to dress for the comfort. But whatever the occasion, I make sure that the clothes I put on represent me and make me feel my absolute best, and that is what I think fashion and makeup are all about.

Regardless of the circumstances that are affecting my outfit of the day, I still have some favorite pieces in my closet that I can’t get enough of. My top pick and number one item is my Free People bralette. I eat and sleep in that piece because it can take an outfit  from plain Jane to girly chic. I also can never leave my house without having my Pandora rings or my blue gem ring that  my boyfriend got me in Greece. My fingers feel so exposed and naked without them all.

With all that being said, blogging is a new and exciting experience for me to go through and I am looking forward to soaking up every second of it. I am beyond excited to be sharing this experience with all of you and showing you what college students all around have to share, hopefully inspiring some of you along the way.
