Hey there, Fashionista/os! My name is Kendall Camarata and I am from Granville, Ohio, a little town just 30 minutes east of Columbus. I am currently a junior at Ohio University studying retail merchandising and fashion product development with a double minor in business and customer service. Just a little fun fact about me–I have eight siblings and four of them live in Germany with my dad. I am really passionate about traveling and I think that is something that has impacted my fashion sense. There is nothing better than traveling to a new place, let alone a new country, and seeing trends that you have yet to see.

What really got me into fashion has been working in the retail industry. I have worked in retail for the last four years, so I have constantly been surrounded by clothes, shoes, and so many fun accessories. I would be lying if I said I have yet to spend all of my paychecks on clothes! There really is no certain style that appeals to me; you can catch me wearing athleisure attire one day, a boho-inspired outfit the next, or even ripped jeans with a graphic tee and leather jacket.

I try and treat myself to a new outfit or two about once a month. The outfit you see here is one of my favorite outfits that I had picked out just a couple weeks ago. Ohio’s weather has been all over the place, going from 30 and snowing one day to 60 and sunny the next. I decided to take advantage of one of the warmer days to sport this grunge-inspired look. A pair of black distressed skinny jeans is a staple item that every Fashionista needs in their closet. I have paired these jeans with black booties that have a heel just low enough that your feet won’t by crying at the end of the day. Lace up shirts are a really big trend on campus right now, so I thought what better way to spice up this outfit than to add a lace up tee. And to top off this look, I added a leather jacket to keep me warm throughout the day.

Fashion has been such a big part of my life these last few years so I am extremely excited to be a Style Guru this semester! Be sure to check back in each month for my latest fashion finds on campus.
