Hello my fellow Fashionistas! My name is Kendal Couch, and I’m a junior at Elon University in North Carolina. Despite my extremely pale skin, I hail from Orlando, Florida, home of Mickey Mouse! I’m majoring in Journalism with a Political Science minor. My dream would be working in the fashion industry in either journalism or even public relations, and of course living in New York City. Ever since I can remember, I’ve been scrolling through countless fashion blogs wishing that I could simply click a button and their outfits would be in my own closet. With that being said, I am so incredibly thankful and excited to be a Style Guru.
Want to know some fun facts about me? Well first off, I absolutely love to travel. I’ve actually been to five of the seven continents! My family always tries to make one big trip a year; it’s been a tradition for as long as I can remember. I also have a huge guilty pleasure in reality television. I could watch Keeping Up With the Kardashians or the Real Housewives series for hours and never get bored.
If I had to describe my style, I honestly have no idea what to say. One day I can wear a Lilly Pulitzer dress, and the next I’m sliding on ripped jeans with boots. I guess if I had to describe it in just one word, it’d be versatile. With that being said, I love to splurge on certain items like purses and shoes. I believe that those two are the only items worth investing in. But that’s just me!
Even though it is officially the winter season, it’s still extremely hot in Florida. I can’t wear boots, sweaters, coats, etc. during the day because the weather is still like summer! My go-to items for a ‘Florida winter’ are a reliable pair of dark wash skinny jeans, a similar dark cross-body and some pretty stackable bracelets! This is definitely the typical outfit here, sandals and all! I can’t wait to get back to some cool weather to really showcase how a Floridian dresses for the occasion.
