Hello, all you trend setters! My name is Kelly Fitzpatrick, and I’m a 20-year-old from New Jersey. I’m a junior communication and media studies major with a business minor at Fordham University in New York City. Along with a love for fashion, I also have a love for performing. I’m in the Fordham b-Sides a cappella singing group, as well as multiple theatre groups on campus. Because of my performance background, I tend to think of the world as a stage…and a stage is the perfect platform to show off personal style!
My wardrobe can be described as eclectic. I’m never too consistent with the way I dress; I could be wearing something with bows and lace one day and a menswear-inspired outfit the next. More often than not, I like to take pieces from all different aspects of the fashion world and blend them to create a look that is uniquely mine! I try not to get stuck following every trend strictly because of the popularity. In the words of Gianni Versace, “Don’t make fashion own you, but you decide what you are, what you want to express by the way you dress and the way to live”.
This is my first semester as a CollegeFashionista Style Guru. Interestingly enough, I’m going to be spending this semester abroad! Fordham has a center right in the heart of London, which is where I’ll be living and studying from January until May. I’ll get to give a different view on Fordham fashion and learn about British street style along the way! Hopefully by the end of my journey, I’ll have picked up, and shared, some great tips! Here’s to a fabulous semester of being fierce and uniquely YOU!
