In the words of esteemed author Zig Zaglar, “You cannot climb the ladder of success dressed in the costume of failure.”

Hi there, everyone! My name is Keenan Adams (not to be mistaken by Kenan Thompson from Kenan and Kel). I am currently a fifth-year student at the University of Missouri in Columbia. At my respective institution, I am pursuing a degree in the fields of textile and apparel management, and business. Fashion and music have always ignited a feeling of fiery passion within me. Even as an adolescent, I found myself yearning for the greenest trends, and sampling my respective style from musical icons during any given stage of my life. Beginning with an unhealthy Lenny Kravitz obsession circa 2004 that transformed into an infatuation with the demeanor of A$AP Rocky in present day. I have obsessed over the influence that my favorite artists possess within the fashion ecosphere.

So, how would I describe my personal style? Well, I am thrilled that you have inquired! I would say that my style is an ever-evolving creature that can be tame, but wild when the occasion calls for it. I describe my style as a harmonious balance between classic pieces and trendy or eclectic outfits. I love to pair a classic blazer with a pair of leather pants, or even a crisp black hoodie with black jeans and taupe Chelsea boots. I adore fashion because it gifts me with an opportunity to express my sense of self through the items I choose to display on my body. I truly believe the clothing that we wear illustrates a story about every individual. Fashion is beautiful and miraculous. For me, fashion presents me with a healthy self-esteem and the chance to influence those around me.

In my pictures displayed above, I am sporting a lightweight cargo shirt from H&M that I rolled up for a more casual look.  My belt was purchased at the men’s speciality clothing store, Bingham’s, that I am currently employed at (the brand is Martin Dingman).  Finally, my shoes came from a quaint little shop on Cherokee Street in downtown Saint Louis, and my sunglasses are the always popular Ray-Ban.

Until next time my fashion fanatics, ciao!
