Hi! My name is Kayla. I am so excited to share my love for fashion with you all! I am an upcoming sophomore at Marist College, but I am originally from Long Island, New York. I had an amazing first year at Marist, enjoying its breath-taking views and outstanding fashion program, and am excited for the next three years. I am majoring in Fashion Merchandising with a concentration in Fashion Promotion. I have loved fashion ever since I was little from doing things like playing dress up to watching Project Runway. My dream job would probably be to work as a stylist for celebrities in New York or LA or doing events like fashion shows.
I would probably describe my style as more on the preppy side, but also classic and feminine. My go-to outfit for spring and early summer consists of skinny jeans, a loose-fit patterned shirt, a cardigan and either Toms or Jack Rodgers sandals. I tend to wear a lot floral pattern pieces, and bright or pastel colors. However, I tend keep my accessories pretty simple. I wear the same two rings and pearl earrings with pretty much every outfit. Once in a while I will wear a necklace because some outfits just need a statement necklace. I think shoes are really important and can definitely make or break an outfit. In fact, one of my favorite things to buy are shoes. If I could, I would probably wear high heels everyday.
My outfit that I am wearing in the picture consists of dark wash skinny jeans from American Eagle Outfitters, a loose off-the-shoulder patterned top from Bloomingdales, coral Jack Rodgers sandals, a pink cross-body bag from Louis Vuitton and my necklace is from the student-run Mporium here at Marist College.
