Hello fellow Fashionistas and Fashionistos! My name is Katie Shaffer and I am so excited to be back for another semester with CollegeFashionista.
I come from the beautiful state of West Virginia, but I currently reside in Indiana where I am a sophomore at Saint Mary’s College. When I am not studying for a psychology exam I can probably be found watching Netflix, putting items in my online cart and then exiting the website or forcing my friends to get coffee with me.
My everyday attire consists of leggings, a cute T-shirt, and tennis shoes. I like to keep it simple when going to class, mainly because I like to avoid getting out of my bed until the very last moment. Some of my athleisure idols are Gigi Hadid and Iskra Lawrence. They prove that even when you’re dressing comfortably you can still be chic.
When I’m not wearing leggings some of my favorite pieces to wear are oversized sweaters, high waisted anything, and statement shoes. I would definitely say that I have a very eclectic style. My wardrobe is a melting pot of ultra feminine, bohemian, sporty, and grunge pieces. I like to wear what makes me feel good and what fits my mood, therefore I like to have a little bit of everything on hand.
In this outfit I am wearing my favorite skirt that gives me major Cher Horowitz from Clueless vibes. I love the mustard yellow color and corduroy material. Since my skirt is patterned I decided to keep the rest of my outfit simple with a plain white v-neck shirt and a gray cardigan. For my shoes I am wearing my favorite black booties. They are so comfortable but can easily dress up any outfit. I also love the cut out on the side and I think it adds an unexpected edge to a classic piece. To finish off my outfit I an carrying the bag that never leaves my side. Yes, I am one of those people that carries everything she owns in her bag. I am not ashamed because I am always prepared.
