Originally from Chicago, I’m a freshman majoring in Fashion Merchandising and minoring in Business at The Ohio State University — Go Buckeyes!
I’ve been living and breathing fashion for as long as I can remember. When I wasn’t busy dressing myself, I was putting on fashion shows with my Barbie dolls and my dog. Yes, I would dress up my dog. I would dress up anything and anyone that would let me. Watch out – you could be next. I think that fashion is the greatest form of self-expression and I think people often underestimate the power of a fabulous outfit. Did you know that over 50 percent of all first impressions are based on your appearance alone? Personally, I like to use that 50 percent to my advantage. Wouldn’t you?
I am the founder of the fashion, beauty and lifestyle blog, Dry-Clean Only. I created Dry-Clean Only as an inspirational, creative outlet where I post my interpretation of the latest fashion and beauty trends and my personal opinions on the fashion industry. I have always had a love for writing and photography as well, so being able to combine them with my “passion for fashion” was a dream come true. Who knows, maybe one day you’ll see “Dry-Clean Only” in more places than just the tag with the cleaning directions.
My fashion inspiration usually comes from designers such as Elie Saab, Roberto Cavalli, and Marchesa — oh the things I’d do to walk a red (or blue, or green, or any color) carpet in one of their couture dresses! My personal style is also inspired by style icons like Lauren Conrad (My idol!), and Miley Cyrus. I’d consider my style to be very feminine but that doesn’t mean I don’t jump at the chance to incorporate more edgy pieces into my look! I like to mix it up!
This winter you’ll usually find me in my rag & bone jeans and a big cozy sweater with combat boots. Some girls have obsessions with shoes or dresses, for me it’s sweaters – I have so many sweaters I’m surprised they haven’t recruited me to be on the TV show Hoarders. You never know, it could still happen.
If you want to follow me on my other platforms liking my Facebook page would be a great place to start! I’m so excited to be apart of the CollegeFashionista team and I look forward to being your accessories reporter this semester!
p.s. Here’s a little shout out to all of the other Style Guru’s on here – can we all be best friends? You are all so stylish and inspiring, I’m so honored to be apart of this awesome organization!
