STYLE GURU BIO: Kasse Keudell

January 6th, 2016 at 2:10am

Hello darlings, it’s Kasse Keudell here. Cheers to my third semester as a Style Guru and kicking it off during the most wonderful time of the year. I can’t believe it’s my last time working with CollegeFashionista, but nonetheless, I’m determined to make it the best one yet. So get ready for some beautiful people and #RAD styles coming your way.

The weather may not be in our favor over these next few months, but that doesn’t mean your wardrobe can’t be. Now that we are in the dead of winter, it is time to make a statement with those cozy blanket scarves, chunky knits, furry coats and thigh-high boots.

Blanket scarves are a winter must-have; however, they do have potential to become a bit overwhelming. There are a lot of different ways to be chic and cuddly without looking like you’re drowning in fabric. Some of my favorite ways are keeping it loose, almost giving it a poncho-like look (and we all know ponchos have made a big comeback, so either way you can’t go wrong with this one). If you want your scarf to look  a little less huge, go for the triangle wrap. Today, I went for the classic twist, but you can’t be afraid to make a big statement with this style. I kept the rest the outfit neutral, making the plaid colors the focal point. To dress up a blanket scarf add a leather jacket or even a fur vest.

A lot of people don’t realize it, but sunglasses are just as essential for the winter as they are for the summer. Not only are they protecting our eyes from the bright blistery sun, but sometimes you just want to hide from the world (while still looking fabulous, of course). Try a timeless oversized pair or my personal favorite statement, the cat eye.

So pull down your beanie, put on your boots and grab that favorite coffee to-go. Let’s have one fabulous season of fashion.
