STYLE GURU BIO: Kamari Dudley

Hello all my beautiful Fashionistas and Fashionistos. My name is Kamari and I am so excited to be back as a second semester Style Guru. Woot woot! This experience working as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista has been an interesting, productive and great learning experience for me. So when I was presented with the opportunity to return as a fall Style Guru, I couldn’t turn the chance down. Besides, who doesn’t love fall fashion?

Let’s dive in to just a tad bit of information about me so we can get back to the important topic at hand which is, of course, fashion. I am a junior at the The University of Connecticut. #GoHuskies! But my fashion roots really expanded when I was a student at Pace University which was right in the heart of New York City. There, my passion for fashion exploded to another level. The fact that people there can just express themselves in numerous ways through what they wear with no care about how others feel about their clothing choices was phenomenal to me. Seeing this allowed me to be adventurous and explore different pieces and fashion techniques that I never thought I would be comfortable wearing. Now I am comfortable in all of my fashion explorations and I want to help others explore the world of fashion and be comfortable in all of their fashion ventures.

If there’s any way to be a part of the fashion world, I’m down for. I LOVE red carpet events because they give me a chance to expand my celebrity lookbook. For every red carpet event, I compose my favorite looks into a folder and one day I hope to recreate those trends in my own way. I worked for Nine West, I have done fashion photography and have recently been trying to work my way into the business of fashion marketing. So with all those things in mind, I am excited to continue my journey with CollegeFashionista. As I learn more and grow in my fashion ventures, I hope you all will learn and enjoy, too.
So now there’s no time to waste. Let’s get ready to get out our notebooks and pens and get buried in countless class notes, all while being extremely fashionable this fall semester. Ready, set, fashion!
