STYLE GURU BIO: Kaitlin Tornatore

Hey Fashionistas and Fashionistos! My name is Kaitlin Tornatore. I’m a junior at the University of Arizona, where I’m majoring in journalism and minoring in photography. While in college, I have developed a great interest in the evolution of how people express themselves—mainly through the art of fashion and social media. I’m a freelance photographer or “shutterbug,” as I like to say. Follow my Instagram for a closer look into the highlights of my summer! You will quickly notice my love for the West Coast, live music, discovering new boutiques and anything DIY.

I believe less is more. This explains my simple style. On a typical day when I’m out and about, you can find me wearing a graphic T-shirt with a classic pair of denim cut-offs and sandals or booties. My style is definitely a combination of boho-chic and my California roots. Call it a strange addiction or a love interest: nothing compares to the feeling of taking tags off new clothes. Yes, I 100 percent think you should treat yourself to some retail therapy this weekend!

Let’s talk about my outfit. This People’s Project LA bell sleeve romper is my favorite patterned go-to at the moment. I really adore the ivory, pom pom trim! Accessorizing with a gold initial necklace like the one I’m wearing here is a simple way to personalize your wardrobe. Last and certainly not least, these Jeffrey Campbell Lita crochet boots add a fearless element to my ensemble. Switch out the platforms with a pair of lace-up sandals to dress down this look and you have the perfect, summery outfit for a beach getaway!

This is my first semester as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista, and I can’t wait to share all things fashion with you! I hope my page will be a destination where you can find inspiration and stay in the loop on the newest trends!
