STYLE GURU BIO: Julia Renner

Hey everyone! I’m Julia Renner, and I am so excited to start my first semester working with CollegeFashionista! Charlotte, North Carolina is where I call home, but I’m currently a student at University of Florida (go Gators!) with a major in public relations and a focus in retail. I eventually want to work in publicity or merchandising in retail.

The first time I thought, “Hey, I want to work in the fashion industry” was when I was eight years old and started stealing my mom’s fashion magazines to secretly flip through, past my bedtime. That love for fashion hasn’t faded since. Most of my style inspiration now comes from scrolling through my social media feeds or admiring store window displays. I like to live by the mantra that if you’re confident in what you’re wearing, you’ll look great no matter what.

My style is a reflection of what kind of mood I’m in that day and what’s been inspiring me lately. In my dreams, I would have a closet with an endless supply of the on-trend skirts, booties, and anything else I could ever want. I’m usually drawn to feminine, bohemian pieces and cool jewelry. My favorite places to shop are Nordstrom, Urban Outfitters, and Altar’d State. When I’m out and about I always like having at least one statement, trendy piece in my outfit. Even simple accessories can do this by elevating a look to a whole new level. At the same time, I also value comfort over almost anything when it comes to what I wear to class, so I can usually be seen rocking a T-shirt, Birkenstocks, leggings, and my Fitbit.

I’m excited to see what other looks I’ll find around campus and can’t wait to share them with you!
