Hello, fabulous Fashionistas and Fashionistos! My name is Jordan and I am back for my second semester as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista! As a rookie this past summer, I was both nervous and excited to see where my newest adventure would take me. Joining the CollegeFashionista family has been one of the best decisions I have ever made, so I couldn’t say no to the opportunity to stay on for fall!
This summer was a hot one here in Tampa. Other than a few rainy days here and there, the Sunshine State definitely lived up to its name! Summer’s freedom meant time for shopping trips, beach days and girls’ nights out. Everywhere I went, there was fashion waiting to be seen. It was a lot of fun searching the streets of Tampa for fashionable guys and gals and I really enjoyed the variety of style that I found. Of course, cut-off shorts, maxi dresses and crop tops were all the rage in our warm weather. Open-toed shoes were a must as were a killer pair of shades! But there were also a lot of fun prints, bright neons and retro comebacks just to name a few new trends.
Now as August comes to a close and the sun sets on summer, our free days become filled with classes and our late nights become study sessions. But that doesn’t stop us from being anything but head-to-toe fabulous! Back-to-school is the best time to show off your stylish self and I will have my eyes all around the University of Tampa campus as I begin my senior year. I have no idea where the time has gone! This summer with CollegeFashionista has taught me to open my eyes to the endless possibilities of the fashion world. I have begun to develop a much better understanding of trends and styling, which has helped me create my own fashion sense. I have a love for so many looks–one day I’ll go girly the next I’ll be edgier–so I’m having fun finding out what I like most. No matter what each day brings, I look forward to waking up each morning and picking out what I want to wear!
Although it stays just as warm here in the fall, I am eager to see all of the new outfits students will be putting together for class, Greek life events or nights out with friends. I know I am looking forward to mixing fall patterns, rocking some booties and going dark with my nails. With my camera in hand permanently—photography major problems—I am ready to capture all of the fabulous fall fashion that Tampa has to offer. Look for my STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK posts every Monday! Have fun and study hard this semester, Fashionistas/os!
