STYLE GURU BIO: Jordan Austin

Hey girl, hey! Welcome to my STYLE GURU BIO. My name is Jordan Austin and I am a sophomore at Indiana University studying Finance and Accounting. When graduation rolls around (praying it never does!), I hope to do something in Corporate America that is tied to fashion or retail. I am so excited to be able to share my personal style with you (and can’t believe that someone is actually reading this-woohoo)! I have always been very into fashion and am so excited to be apart of a community of people who have similar interests.

When describing my personal style, I immediately think of what I wish my style could be. As a college student, it is hard to dress Carrie Bradshaw-esque everyday, so I try to incorporate as much of that look into my style as possible without looking way too overdressed. Of course, there is nothing wrong with being overdressed; however, I try to tone it down to make my outfits appropriate for everyday wear around campus.

Fall is my absolute favorite season to dress for. I love piling on layers (especially fur vests-but it’s still 80 degrees so that was a no-go for this post) and wearing my favorite denim. This pair is my new go-to; I’m convinced I’ve discovered the perfect boyfriend jean by Treasure and Bond from Nordstrom. They are not baggy to the point of being unflattering, yet still have that chic and relaxed look. I am also totally obsessed with this J.Crew T-shirt. It comes in three colors and you can roll the sleeves up and wear it now, as well as make it a perfect piece for under a vest or with a cute statement necklace during the fall. Finally, this Kendra Scott necklace is one of the most versatile pieces of jewelry I own. When I have a neutral outfit on, I can throw it on and it pulls the whole look together. (Well, at least in my mind because I am the type of girl that can’t wear an outfit unless there’s some pink in it).

Thanks so much for reading this post-I can’t wait to share more with you all semester long!
