Hey there! My name is Johanna, and I grew up in Seattle, Washington. Because of my dad working at Nordstrom when I was growing up, and being surrounded in a cultured metropolitan area of the great Pacific Northwest, how could I not develop a huge passion for fashion? Fast-forwarding to now, I am 23, and a junior at Loyola Marymount Umiversity. I am an English major with a Journalism minor.
Living in Los Angeles, has only helped my passion for fashion to flourish. The majority of southern Californians go big or go home when it comes down to their daily wardrobe. My style is forever changing with the time and trends, so it is hard to put a name on it. As of right now, I have a lot of basics in my wardrobe, and am transitioning to more summer, go-to outfits, I just bought a couple of summertime-inspired skater skirts, which I am in love with. I pair that with crop tops (which I am a huge fan of) or a tank top, with a jean jacket to pull the whole look together. I also try to bring back old looks, to save money, being the broke college student that I am. I love seeing what clothes I can pair together that I already have to make a fresh new look that is in style right now, and making everything feel brand new again.
That’s why I am especially excited to write some STYLE GURU STYLE articles for CollegeFashionista this summer and reinvent runway looks by some of my favorite designers. Some of my favorite designers and fashion bloggers include Marc Jacobs, Vera Wang and Aimee Song. I hope that not only my STYLE GURU STYLE articles reflect me and my style, but also all the other articles I post on the blog do, as well. Hope you all have a RAD summer.
