Hey Fashionistas and Fashionistos! My name is Jillian Siegmund, and I am beyond thrilled to be able to join the CollegeFashionista team as a first-time Style Guru. I am going into my final year at Sacred Heart University with a Business Administration major concentrating on Marketing with a Fashion Merchandising minor. Being able to have the chance to intern at CollegeFashionista is an amazing opportunity in the fashion industry. I am always having an opinion at the outfits and styles that I come across on a daily basis, and now I have the opportunity to share my opinions with you!
As Coco Chanel once said, “Every day is a fashion show and the world is the runway.” Dress your best, and walk with confidence. Wearing sweatpants to class does not give you the self-confidence that you need to get through the school day. Dressing up for class is a number one must in my books; once you make the bold statement with your style, you are confident and ready to conquer anything that the day throws at you! I enjoy walking around my campus and spotting different looks and styles that people have. My love for fashion came way before my college years. I have been very involved with fashion since I was a little girl. My inspiration came from my mom and aunt. Every chance they had they always dressed me head to toe in the most stylish outfits—it was always something that was so simple like overalls with a touch of a color pop from an accessory that changed the entire outfit to make it stand out! These two individuals have a sense of style everywhere they go, whether that be going to run errands, on a night out or even off to work.
Keeping up with the current trends is something that is interesting to me. You will always see me looking at a Vogue or ELLE magazine looking at the fashion trends that are presented in the publications. Being outgoing, I love to stand out with my outfits. You will always see me with big chunky accessories that I put together with the simplest looks. Fashion is, in fact, a form of expression. So this summer, wedges and chunky jewelry are my go-to summer accessories! I cannot wait to bring you all the most up to date trends that summer has to offer!
