I am stoked to begin my third semester as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista. I am currently a Junior at the University of Georgia studying marketing and fashion merchandising. Each day I fall more and more in love with my major and finally enjoy listening to lectures in class. Crazy, right?
This semester, somehow things seem to be falling into place. I have been honored with becoming a finalist for the 2017 Next Generation scholarship through the National Retail Federation. This semester, I will be flying to New York City to attend Retail’s Big Show and the NRF Gala. Receiving this scholarship has been an amazing and life changing opportunity. It will allow me to continue my career and education in the field of marketing and fashion within the retail industry. I encourage all of you to apply through your university for a chance to experience this amazing opportunity. It is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity that cannot be missed.
Not only have I received a scholarship, but I am now on the hunt for a full-time internship for this upcoming summer. I cannot wait to see where my experiences take me and what the future has in store.
All of these opportunities remind me of how much I love fashion. There are so many options in this field and that is only one of the reasons why it is my passion. Interning with CollegeFashionista these past few semesters has opened so many new doors for me. I cannot wait for you to hear more about my adventures this semester.
As for what I’m wearing in this shoot? It consists of the following: jeans paired with a white T-shirt, white canvas sneakers, and a lovely top.
