Hi! My name is Jessica Moore, and I’m a Los Angeles transplant by way of Nashville,Tennessee. I moved to Los Angeles in 2008 to pursue my acting career, but decided a couple years ago to go back to school to finish my college education. I am currently studying communications at Los Angeles Valley College, but will be transferring to a four year university next fall. Fashion is something that I loved from an early age. Growing up, my grandmother was a huge influence on me, and she loved fashion. I remember going with her to the Dillard’s where she worked as the fashion coordinator; I used to love helping her fit models for the various fashion shows she put on. I also walked in countless shows myself and will always cherish those days with her at the store as we hunted for the perfect outfit.

As the years have gone by, my love of fashion has grown. I am constantly looking for inspiration wherever I am. One of my favorite things to do while I am out is to just observe what everyone is wearing. In a city like Los Angeles, you definitely get fashion inspiration galore because of how diverse this city is. To me, clothing is not just something you put on your back, but it is a way of expressing yourself. I definitely run the gamut of different styles: I love changing my look. One day I might leave the house looking completely boho, while the next day I might be more in the mood to dress clean and minimal. Through your clothing, you can give people a quick glimpse of who you are without having to open your mouth.

In addition to juggling work, school and writing for CollegeFashionista, I also manage my own fashion blog, Miss Moore Style. I started my blog two and a half years ago to provide myself with an outlet for some of my favorite activities: writing, fashion and shopping. My experience as a blogger has been a lot of work but really rewarding because of how much I have learned through the experience. I look forward to my semester writing for CollegeFashionista, and I hope you will drop in for my monthly doses of style!
