STYLE GURU BIO: Jessica Ivetich

September 2nd, 2015 at 2:00am

Hi, everybody! My name is Jessica Ivetich, and I am so excited to be a Style Guru for Indiana University! I am a junior studying Journalism with a concentration in Public Relations. I also have minors in Fashion Design, Spanish and potentially Music Business, but I still have plenty of time to figure out all the details.

This will be my third semester working with CollegeFashionista. My articles will cover everything from the perfect date night outfits to the latest runway trends. I’m pretty involved on campus, so I cannot wait to bring you the amazing fashion finds from across Bloomington!

I am a firm believer that fashion is a form of art. It is a creative outlet that allows you to express yourself on a daily basis. One of the best things about being a Style Guru is that I get the chance to explore styles different from my own and discover how different people express themselves in different settings. From a ball gown to sweatpants, each clothing selection tells the world a little bit about who you are without actually saying a word.

My personal style pulls from several different tastes. After working in the music industry this summer, my favorite color to wear is black, but I do still love the occasional pop of color! This blue dress is perfect for transitioning from day to night. I can easily swap out flat sandals and a trusty tote for a pair of wedges and a cross-body bag whenever I’m pressed for time (which is always).

As we start the fall semester, I am honored to be a part of CollegeFashionista once again. Knowing that the founder once walked the same halls that I do is pretty incredible. If you ever see me around campus, feel free to say hi! Go Hoosiers!
