Hello CollegeFashionista! I am so ecstatic to be spending this fall as Villanova’s newest Style Guru! Although this experience is new for me, fashion has always been my first love. By the time I was old enough to talk I was picking out my own outfits right down to each and every accessory. I was particular about what I was wearing as a three year old, and almost twenty years later, I haven’t changed.

I am now a senior at Villanova University, majoring in communication and minoring in business and marketing. After interning with Nicole Miller Philadelphia and spending a semester abroad in Milan, Italy, my desire to work in the fashion industry is stronger than ever. I will be interning this fall at QVC, working with apparel and accessories, and I am one step closer to fulfilling my dream of a long career in buying and merchandising.

While my personal style is constantly evolving, I tend to stick to pieces with neutral tones that have unique textures and fits. My go-to shopping destinations range from retail chains like Zara and H&M, to department stores like Bloomingdale’s and Nordstrom and everything in between. Although I love seeing what’s on the runway, my biggest style inspiration comes from seeing what other real women are wearing. Whether it is on Villanova’s campus or on my Instagram and Pinterest feeds, I am constantly taking note of amazing outfits that inspire me to try something new.

Today I’m wearing a few of my favorite fall trends. Bucket bags are the “it” bag of the season and my black bucket bag from Nordstrom’s BP line was a complete steal! Last fall was all about the blanket scarf, but this year ponchos and kimonos in fall tones and textures are taking over. My ’70s style patchwork sweater is from H&M and is not available online, but you can find a similar sweater from Francesca’s Boutique. I kept the jewelry simple with my David Yurman ring and ASOS earrings that were inspired by the Dior “Mise en Dior Tribal” double pearl earrings. I styled the rest of the outfit neutrally in my go-to color. An all-black ensemble becomes more versatile by mixing together different textures such as leather and suede. My black leather and ruffle top is from Aqua and is no longer available, but I would also pair this outfit with another black Aqua top in suede.

I’m so grateful for this opportunity and can’t wait to jump right in. I hate to see the summer end, but I am so excited to be back at Villanova and embrace the fall weather. From fringe to fur to flannel, I am your go-to girl on this season’s hottest trends.
