STYLE GURU BIO: Jessica Ciesielski

Hello, hello! This is Jessica Ciesielski and I’m super excited to be returning back a fourth time as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista. I have completed my first year of college at Loyola University Chicago and it was by far the best experience of my life. I have grown exponentially as an individual and have learned more than I ever thought possible! Choosing to attend school in Chicago has been life-changing in all the right ways. I’ve been inspired by several neighborhoods, experiences and people thus far and it’s given me a better idea as to what I’d like to do in the future. I’ve stuck with my degree in Marketing, and I’m definitely still focused on using that knowledge in the fashion industry. Working for a magazine, a swimwear company or a unique shoe line has jumped to the top of my dream job list.

My fashion sense, much like myself, has also grown immensely. I have become more adventurous with my style and have experimented with several looks. Some of my favorites that I’ve played with thus far are bohemian-chic and the effortless tomboy look. College is truly the time to find out what you like and dislike in many aspects, especially with your own personal style.

As my style has evolved, so has my wardrobe. Tunics, something I wouldn’t have necessarily worn before, are now my favorite tops. They look great on everyone and work well with many different types of pants. I usually go for a dark denim or a pair of boyfriend jeans when I style it. Since I went with black pants for this look, I chose to go with a neutral boot: gray Dr. Martens. To add a more personal touch to my look I added a floppy hat and a tote bag with some adorable googly eyes. Classic silver jewelry with a pop of red is always a great addition to finish any look!

I’m extremely fortunate to be staying in the Windy City this summer and I definitely plan to take advantage of all the Fashionistas/os crawling around. I’ll be keeping my eyes peeled for some lively festival gear, breezy beachwear and other chic summer looks. Summertime allows for lots of unique outfit choices and I’m stoked to see what Chicago has in store for me!
