STYLE GURU BIO: Jenna Fisler

I may be little, but my passion for fashion isn’t. Getting up in the mornings and figuring out what to wear for some people may be such a drag, but for me it’s the best part of the day. Rummaging through my closet and being able to see every piece of clothing I own can give me the biggest inspirations and confidence to try a new style or look. I try to stay on-trend but make it my own whenever I go out shopping.

They say the first thing you see when you meet someone is what they are wearing, I always look at what people are wearing not to judge, but to get inspired. I have a love for floral prints ever since my mom dressed me up in them head to toe when I was younger. Growing up, I was never in luxury clothes or even name brands items. Usually it was whatever was on sale at Kohl’s or even Kmart. My mom didn’t ever dress up or wear makeup so everything I learned, I had to teach myself. My love for makeup and fashion go perfectly hand-in-hand with each other.

I am blessed to be able to say I am going into my senior year as a fashion merchandising major at Kent State University. Working, and being in a sorority as well as school does take up my time but when I do have free time, I like to spend it reading and trying my hardest at teaching myself how to sew. Hopefully one day I will be able to make most of or even all of my clothes.

I’m very excited about this opportunity and hope that it helps me in the future!
