STYLE GURU BIO: Jasmine Graham

The excitement I have for this upcoming semester is indescribable. Writing, Fashion and Photography fill me with such excitement and wonder. You can tell a lot about a person from the way they dress. My style has a heavy influence of the ’90s, from the grudge to the girly, mystyle breathes heavy ’90s vibes. My style almost always reflects my mood for the day. I love how different outfits can create different vibes. In each outfit, I think you should express yourself in any and every way you can.

Learning the balance between keeping my style fresh and recycling old items has been a very difficult task. However, over years of practice, I have learned the ways. When I was younger, I was convinced I was a Barbie princess. There was no doubt in my mind that I was royalty and my prince would be arriving shortly in a nicely tailored suit. I would come up with celebrated stories for me and my Barbie’s to play out. I would make clothes for my baby dolls and Barbie’s out of pillow cases I secretly cut a part. Many homemade movies were inspired in the vision of the latest story I created. Once I grew up and realized I was not royalty (yet), Plan B was set in motion. Plan B consisted of writing down all of the stories that I had come up with for my Barbie’s and I and continue to dive head first into the fashion world. Fashion, photography and writing hold a special space in my heart.
