Hey friends! My name is Jamie Shindler, and I am as excited about being a Style Guru as you are about reading my weekly posts! When I’m not out playing volleyball, painting or dealing with the prerequisite Accounting classes for the business school at the University of Arizona, you can catch me at the pool or making my East Coast friends jealous of my new tan lines.
I will be a junior this coming semester, and I’m applying to the business school (crossing my fingers along the way). I have always been into the fashion side of marketing, so having this internship to score some tips can only help guide me.
I have lived in the amazing city of Los Angeles my whole life, watching celebrities get handed designer clothing. Being surrounded by this and then attending the University of Arizona, where gorgeous girls wearing the new fashions daily surrounded me, made my passion grow fast.
I had a public relations internship two summers back, which taught me how to promote specific clothing options and blankets for babies. Having no say in the style I prefer led me to this internship, where I am able to speak my mind about my love of sun dresses and lace-up boots. Although my flair is not technically “out there,” it seems to get head turns and compliments without any looks of judgment and worry.
I am the kind of Fashionista who will roll with the latest trends, as long as they aren’t completely senseless. Black is always in. I wear boxers as pajamas because it is unfair that guys get to be that comfortable all the time. For a business interview, I have a lucky pencil skirt. And there is nothing more comfortable than a pair of flip flops matched with some LuLu’s.
My dream is to be the girl next door. So I hope my new fans will help me achieve that portrayal by connecting with me through social media. Instagram is where you can catch me attempting to make witty comments through an extremely posed picture.
