STYLE GURU BIO: Jacqueline Cox

Hi Fashionistas/os! My name is Jacqueline Cox, and I am so excited to be a part of the CollegeFashionista team this semester. I am now entering the second semester of my senior year (cue nostalgia) and am looking forward to spending it scouring the campus for unique looks to share with you. I am a proud Michigan State Spartan and am thrilled to have this chance to connect the stylish students of MSU with the rad CollegeFashionista readers.

I just completed a specialization in Design and will be finishing up my B.A. in Marketing this spring. At the same time, I am also currently pursuing my M.S. in Marketing Research. Throughout my studies I have discovered my love for all things fashion, and have tried to curate my outside activities to mirror this. Aside from CollegeFashionista, I write for and am the Marketing Director of VIM Magazine, Michigan State’s exclusive student fashion and lifestyle publication. I can’t imagine anything better than living in the city and working for a magazine, so over the next few years, I’ll be doing whatever it takes to get there.

My day-to-day style is pretty laid back, but I love to get dolled up for a fun occasion. I’m a chronic fan of all things neutral and understated; however, every now and then I’ll throw in a pop of color like this J.Crew pleated mini, which was perfect for a Florida Christmas.  Lately, I’ve been very obsessed with bold jewelry! I can’t seem to control myself or my wallet when it comes to sparkly statement necklaces. Though trends do catch my eye every season, I have an unwavering lifelong shoe fetish. It was so nice to be able to pull out my trusty GUESS platform wedges after trapping my feet in boots the past couple of months. Don’t get me wrong though, I’m a big fan of boots. They make up the majority of my excessive footwear collection.

It’s a brand new year, and I cannot wait for a brand new start with CollegeFashionista! Stay tuned for a semester of fashionable Spartans.
