Hey there Fashionistas! I’m Jackie and I am super excited to be interning for CollegeFashionista for the first time this summer. I am from New York and go to school at St. Joseph’s College. I’m a junior majoring in hospitality and tourism but I’ve always had an eye for fashion! Since I was little I always enjoyed playing dress up and dressing up my dolls to look their best! I’ve always used fashion as a way of presenting myself. I feel fashion gives me the confidence that I may not always have. When you look good you feel good and that’s exactly what fashion does for me. Not only will this internship help me to show off some of my favorite outfits and styles but it will also give me the chance to do something else I truly love, writing. I’ve always found writing to be therapeutic and fun, so putting fashion and writing together is something I’m ecstatic about.
I enjoy putting together all kinds of outfits from formal events to super casual outfits to outfits I can to wear to class, I definitely would say my style is all over the place! Sometimes I enjoy loose and flowy colorful outfits and other times I prefer a tight black dress. I feel my outfit usually correlates to how I’m feeling. In this picture I’m wearing a casual summer outfit, perfect for a walk on the boardwalk or a summer bonfire. Loose boyfriend jeans with a tank top to create a flowy beach feel. Adding the tan leather jacket adds a bit of edginess to the outfit. For footwear I’m wearing my favorite pair of rose colored Steve Madden sneakers. Some accessories I used to spice it up included my rose gold watch, rose gold ring and a light pink hair bow.
