STYLE GURU BIO: Isabella LeClair

Hello fellow Fashionistas/os! I’m Isabella—more commonly known as Bella. I’m a sophomore at Providence College (go friars!), where I major in marketing and minor in finance. You’ll probably see me on campus with my signature half-bun and with my trusty Transport Tote. After I get my bachelors, my aspiration is to move the big city and find a career blending business and fashion.

First off I’d like to thank my sister, who I’ve always considered my idol, for my love of fashion. Without her, I’d probably be badly dressed and not have the slightest clue how to buy jeans for myself (the most important skill one can have). Although my passion derived from my sister, my style has grown as I’ve grown.

Currently, I’d describe my style as effortless and slightly tomboy with a feminine edge. I get most of my inspiration from my beloved Madewell, where I’ve worked as a stylist for the past two years. I spend my winter primarily in denim and oversized sweaters. I’m currently obsessed with Madewell’s Perfect Vintage jean, which is a high-waisted distressed boyfriend jean. They’re the perfect go-to jean for just about any occasion. Although you can usually find me in mules or Saucony sneakers, I’m wearing the Lainy suede sandals here. The heel elevates the look and is the perfect height for even the most casual of girls (me).

I cannot wait to spend the semester as a Style Guru and connect with my fellow Fashionistas/os! I hope to deepen my love for fashion while learning valuable skills that will prepare me better for my future.
