STYLE GURU BIO: Isabella Arjomand

My name is Isabella Arjomand. I am a student at the University of Florida pursuing a major in public relations with an outside concentration in marketing. Most would say there is no gene for fashion for which you can inherit. I beg to differ, considering my love and passion for fashion was passed on to me by my mother. My best friends know that my favorite thing to do, even to this day, is “play dress-up.” At 19 years old, I feel very blessed to know my passion and where I want to pursue my career.

I have traveled the world and seen so many cultures throughout my life. Being able to appreciate the fashion in these countries helped me translate them into my own.

I would prefer to not describe the relationship between my personality and style through certain looks and trends, but rather through confidence. If you can’t be confident in an outfit, don’t wear it. A very good friend of mine reminded me of this Dave Grohl quote, “No one is you, and that is your power.” That is why I love the concept of fashion. It gives you the opportunity to be different, outrageous and most importantly, yourself.

I am a huge supporter of what I refer to as the “Yeezy” color scheme. Colors like black, army green and neutrals cover my closet. My go-to pieces are ripped jeans, chokers and graphic T-shirts. These items can transform from day to night with a simple addition of heels or a fierce statement necklace.

My fashion icons range from Kylie Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Bella Hadid and Emily Ratajkowski to name a few. I adore street style; leathers, denim, skinny scarves and booties. The more “out there” something is, the more mandatory it is I try it! To sum it all up, dress yourself to impress yourself.
