My name is Hibba Sumra and I am so happy to be starting my second semester with CollegeFashionista. I am originally from a small southwestern suburb in Ohio. I am in my sophomore year at University of Dayton where I major in Pre-Medicine. This semester I plan to fully embrace all the beauty that surrounds my precious time here at school, from food to friends to fashion.
I love to sing, dance and workout. Anything that requires moving or interacting with other people, I crave. I love appreciating beautiful humans and the uniqueness of my peers. In the future I plan to run a full marathon, become a doctor and visit the beautiful country of Greece.
I am always looking for an outlet to express myself outside of school. I define fashion as one’s personal illustration of style, something powerful. In public, I express how I feel through my appearance. Whether you are sitting in a classroom or a social gathering, the first things that people notice are your attire and the expression you carry on your face. To me it is imperative that I sport an outfit that makes me happy. A happy you is a confident you. If you find something fabulous make sure you feel fabulous in it as well.
I believe college is a time to have experiences with an open mind, indulge, be impulsive, try something you normally wouldn’t, meet people who you can learn from and find out what it is that you want. If you come across something you dislike, move on. If you find something that you are absolutely crazy for, embrace it with open arms. Be confident in your decisions and don’t ever apologize for being you. “Rock steady,” as Beyoncé would say, and remember to always and forever keep your style on.
