STYLE GURU BIO: Hannah Klotzbach

Hey everyone! My name is Hannah. I am a freshman at Iowa State University, and I am currently a pre-interior design student. The choice to study interior design was a hard one for me. It was tough because growing up I always thought that one day I would be a famous fashion designer; I was always sketching and designing outfits in my coloring books, and amping up the pre-drawn outfits I found boring. But the older I got, the more I realized the fashion industry was too competitive for my liking, and that it isn’t quite right for me. Even though it may not be the right fit for me, my love for fashion has stayed the same if not grown which is why I am so excited to begin my first semester as a Style Guru!

My personal style ranges anywhere from boho to preppy to chic which is why I can’t exactly coin one category as my “style.” In reality my style is wearing clothes that make me feel beautiful and make me happy. Personally I think this is the best sense of style to have since I am a firm believer of Audrey Hepburn’s mantra “Happy girls are the prettiest.” I think that’s why I have such a broad range of styles I enjoy. If I put on something that makes me feel good about myself it then becomes part of my style. Moral of the story, loving yourself will never go out of style!

For this look I paired my favorite distressed denim jeans (I’ve literally had these forever they are so flattering and versatile it’s insane!) and an off-white top with an abstract burgundy floral print that has a mock neck and bell-sleeve details. To top it off I chose black suede over-the-knee boots, and kept the hair and makeup simple with loose beachy curls and a light smoky eye that plays into the burgundy color scheme in the top. I also chose to limit accessories in order to let the fun details of this top really stand out.

I hope you guys loved my first look and post!
