STYLE GURU BIO: Hannah Dytrych

Hey everyone! My name is Hannah Dytrych, and I’m a senior at Illinois State University double majoring in Broadcast Journalism and Spanish. When I’m not in class or at our student TV station, TV-10, you can find me catching up on the latest celebrity gossip or playing a new song I found on SoundCloud, over and over again until my roommates get super annoyed.

I’ve always had a ‘passion’ for fashion. When I was younger I would cut out outfit/accessory photos out of magazines, and match them the way I saw best fit in my own, exclusive ‘fashion book.’ I was not the most fashionable (I will honestly admit) in middle school. I had my Dad buy me at least 10 pairs of overall because that’s all I would wear. And at the beginning of high school, I wore Hollister Co. polos and bell bottom jeans (ugh). But when I got to college, I wanted to be more up-to-date with the latest trends and start expressing myself through fashion with my outfits doing all the work.

I would say my style is normally edgy, with a simple colored pair of Converse, high-waisted jeans and a cropped sweatshirt being my go-to’s, but I do love to dress up and be chic with a duo of heels and the perfect lipstick to bring everything together. One of my favorite things about fashion is that there are no rules. How someone dresses is totally up to them, and it’s so awesome to see people’s personalities shine through their unique style.

I’m hoping to learn more about the fashion world during my internship with CollegeFashionista. I know I have a long way to go until I can be considered a true “Fashionista” (I wear Crocs… I’m sorry!).

Thanks to everyone who took the time to read this, I hope you learned a little bit about me and my journey down fashion lane. Check in every month to see my latest posts on the newest trends in the college world!
