STYLE GURU BIO: Haley Arneson

Hey friends! My name is Haley Arneson and I am currently a sophomore at Florida State University studying Retail Merchandising and Product Development. I started to become fascinated with the fashion industry during my freshman year of high school. I started to admire the current and upcoming trends and wanted to incorporate them into my style. I was inspired by those who dared to be different. It’s important to feel confident and empowered in whatever you’re wearing.

Lately I am really loving the pink shade featured in this look. One of my favorite things about this color is that it really allows me to express my feminine side. I normally would gravitate towards dark and neutral clothing, but recently I’ve been having fun with brighter colors. This windbreaker from Brandy Melville will definitely be one of my staples for fall. (It is sold out online but American Apparel sells one that is very similar). It is lightweight, which makes it the perfect transition piece for fall. “Mom jeans” are easily one of my favorite things to wear. They’re comfortable and stylish, giving off that effortlessly cool vibe. Sometimes you can find a diamond in the rough at thrift stores, but I picked up these vintage Levi Brand Jeans from Urban Outfitters. I am a huge fan of Vans. I thought this pair would tie my outfit together and work with my casual look. To get a similar look, check out this pair. They aren’t the same color as mine, but they are very versatile.

Going to Paris the summer before my freshman year was a trip that really helped define who I am. After that trip, I fell in love with the language, culture and fashion of Paris. I remember walking down the street and seeing the awesome street style of locals who looked effortlessly cool. I wanted to document those looks and take pictures of them because I was so inspired. I am very stoked to be apart of this internship because I get to do just that: share RAD street style looks and spread fashion inspiration.
