My name is Gracie Draper and I’m a senior majoring in English at the University of Mary Washington. I’m new to the CollegeFashionista team this summer and I’m so excited to share my love of fashion with all my fellow Fashionista/os!
I’ve lived in northern Virginia my entire life up until college when I moved down to Richmond, Virginia to attend Virginia Commonwealth University. Down in Richmond there are a wide range of styles and most everyone is a unique Fashionista/o. I discovered new trends and explored different eccentric styles while I was there, and eventually came to find my own personal style through experimentation. Now, in Fredericksburg, I continue to build on my look mainly by shopping the consignment and vintage stores downtown, as well as taking trips home to shop at Cotton On and H&M.
Most days you can find me wearing either black or printed leggings with a tank, or a romper for an effortless yet stylish look. Most of my accessories are either antique finds or hand-me-downs from my mother and grandmother. I can always count on DSW for the best shoes to go with any outfit, but Urban Outfitters is my go-to place for trendy, reasonably priced sandals. I have recently been sporting clip on earrings with most of my outfits since I don’t have pierced ears and they really pull together my outfit for any occasion. My favorite statement piece, however, is my sunglasses. I like to collect crazy, unique and bold pairs to stand apart from the crowd.
Aside from blogging for CollegeFashionista, I am also the head photography editor for our student newspaper, The Bullet, where I get to combine my favorite hobby and medium of media. With my background in photography and passion for fashion, this is the perfect internship for me. I look forward to catching many Fashionista/os on campus and sharing them with you this summer!
