STYLE GURU BIO: Gina Jadelis

Bonjour fellow fashion lovers! My name is Gina Jadelis, and I am a rising sophomore at Marist College studying Public Relations with a double minor in American Studies and Fashion Merchandising. This is my first semester as a Style Guru and I am beyond excited! In addition to my favorite passion, shopping, I am on the board of the Emerging Leaders Program, an Ambassador, a sister of Sigma Sigma Sigma, a Peer Mentor, Orientation Leader and Brand Ambassador for Headbands of Hope and TheSkimm at Marist College.

Since becoming a Style Guru, I have been constantly thinking of posts and outfits to share with you and I am ecstatic to have this opportunity!

I remember the moment I fell in love with fashion. I was standing in the mall when I saw the florescent pink of Betsey Johnson’s store. As a 12-year-old, I was drawn to the bright colors and fluffy dresses. Later that year, Teen Vogue set up a Haute Spot in the same mall. Entering the Haute Spot was like entering heaven. It was the Haute Spot that opened up the world of fashion to me. They offered many promotions which enticed me to explore different stores I may not of ventured into on my own. And best of all, I had the opportunity to meet two editors of Teen Vogue: Amy Astley and Kane Keltner De Valle

There is no one style I enjoy more than others. One day I could be wearing a classic J.Crew outfit, while the next I am boho-chic in Free People. My favorite stores include Madewell, J.Crew, South Moon Under, the Gap, kate spade and small boutiques like House of Lucky and Waterlily down the Jersey Shore.

In these pictures I am wearing a silk jumpsuit from J.Crew, accompanied by an assortment of bracelets from Alex and Ani. I chose to wear a simple gold statement necklace from Madewell with my lucky horseshoe Pandora bracelet, and classic brown Sam Edelman sandals.

My favorite trend recently has been jumpsuits, which is why I featured it in my bio. I just adore how they are so effortless and so stylish. There’s also so many variations of jumpsuits, from overalls to rompers, so everyone can select something they like. Another trend I am obsessed with is kimonos, the colors and patterns of kimonos are a bold addition to any outfit!
