STYLE GURU BIO: Gina Gargiulo

Hello loves! My name is Gina and I’m super excited to start my journey as a Style Guru! I am currently a junior at the Fashion Institute of Technology, majoring in advertising and marketing communications. I’ve always had a strong passion for beauty and fashion ever since I was a little girl. I still remember the day I got my first pack of lip glosses, followed by the many mall trips to Limited Too. Having the latest styles and trends were must-haves to me, and I certainly continue to keep up with them now.

I may have gotten older and the phases have changed, but what I loved never did. And what better way to spread my passions than with another one of mine–writing. This is what I do, what I live for, and expect to continue doing in the future. Being apart of CollegeFashionista is a dream come true, and I hope I could inspire others to follow their dreams too.

Between school and work, I enjoy having time to myself. Binge watching Grey’s Anatomy and One Tree Hill on Netflix are a given, along with stuffing my face with pasta and any food that involves a lot of cheese. Though originally from Long Island, it has been amazing being able to live in the heart of New York City and experience every opportunity it has to offer. There will never be a day that I don’t explore what is out there–and never a day that I don’t miss my miniature dachshund at home.

My typical outfit usually consists of grays and blacks. Forever 21 is my favorite store hands down, allowing for fashionable apparel at the best prices (only $4 for countless leggings). I believe that no matter the season, it shouldn’t stop you from wearing what you want. Here I pair a flannel long sleeve dress with a pair of black tights. These black boots with heals hit right below my knee, giving me the right amount of height for my 5’2″ self. This textured peacoat is a life-saver at keeping me warm this winter, perfectly pairing with any outfit. And of course, I couldn’t leave without my favorite tote bag by Michael Kors.
