My name is Gabrielle Mack and I’m starting my sophomore year at Stonehill College. I’m still undeclared, but I have a few ideas. This is my second semester with CollegeFashionista and I’m really excited to get started on a new season with new trends!
Fall is definitely my favorite season for fashion. In the summer, sometimes it’s more about staying cool than looking good, and in the winter, people get “winter blues” and want to roll around in sweatpants all season. But fall is perfect! Since we’re going back to school, you’re motivated to recreate or enhance your image, so fashion is at a high point this time of year. And the weather is perfect; a little chilly, sometimes warmer, so you can wear some of your summer favorites without sweating and also wear some of your cold weather stuff before you get too lazy to wear it. For me, fall fashion is all about the combination of comfort and style. Most fall fashion is comfort-driven; leggings, sweaters, scarves and flannel shirts…basically pajamas in disguise. The best part is, you look stylish when you wear them! Win-win!
You can see my favorite fall look above. Cozy sweater, stylish boots, knit leg warmers and a cute corduroy skirt. I’m totally comfy in the sweater and leg warmers, but the skirt and boots kick it up from confused dancer to first day of school chic.
Every Monday this semester you can read my article under STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK, where I’ll be dishing out the best advice about fall fashion. I guess I can start now, and remind you to stay comfy and chic this season!
